    Test Environment

This section describes how to test your integrations in the NPG test environment.

    Overview

It is always recommended to perform tests before the transition to production. Also for plugins, Nexi invites you to carry out payment tests to verify that there are no problems with notifications sent by Nexi servers, which could be filtered by firewalls or other systems; to verify that there are no incompatibilities with third-party plugins installed in the CMS.

During the implementation of the integrations, as well as in the plugin tests, a test area is made available, with the data necessary to make calls to the gateway and payment cards to simulate purchases, in particular:

    X-Api-Key

The API-Key is the key parameter and identifier of your terminal, which must be passed in the header of each API call. The gateway provides a series of apikeys divided by usable features. In production, this key can be retrieved from the merchant's back office.

    Payment Cards

in the test area, it is possible to use specific cards to simulate positive or negative payments. Below are the cards that can be used to make payments in the test area.

    Successful:

CircuitCard numberExpiry DateCVV3DS VerificationSMS PIN/OTP Code
    Visa434994249999090604/2023034EnrolledOK
    MasterCard539832249990099804/2023234EnrolledOK

    Fail:

CircuitCard numberExpiry DateCVV3DS VerificationSMS PIN/OTP Code

    APM

Data is made available to test payments with some alternative payment methods, while others will need to register with the APM's proprietary sandbox.
